Stewardship Director Job Announcement for the Shirley
Heinze Land Trust
The Stewardship Director is responsible for monitoring compliance on conservation easements and planning and implementing ecological restoration and management on land trust-owned properties that feature a range of habitats including prairie, savanna, wetlands, dunes and forest.  Incumbent will develop budgets and proposals, secure grant funding, document work performed, engage partners and oversee staff, volunteers and contractors.
Excellent organizational and communication skills are a must, as is the ability to manage several projects concurrently. Duties also include working with board members and committees, assisting with education and outreach events and cultivating donors.
Minimum requirements include Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences, Biology, Environmental Science or similar, experience in ecological restoration, project management, and coordinating and supervising work crews.
Experience working for a land trust or similar conservation organization preferred.
