Application Deadline is May 15th, 2015

Applicants who are selected to participate in this year’s Legacy Camp will receive intensive training and ongoing support to create lasting social change in their communities to ensure that all children (and adults) experience the benefits of a meaningful, daily connection with the natural world. Leaders are trained in four key skill areas: Community Organizing, Outdoor Leadership, Event Planning, and Public Speaking.

Leaders leave the camp with:

  • a new and powerful network of colleagues and friends
  • practical skills to make a difference in their community
  • increased leadership capacity for connecting people to nature in their career either in traditional or non-traditional “green” jobs

Fifty slots are available in the 2014 Natural Leaders Legacy Camp which will be held June 29th-July 3rd at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Conservation Training Center in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, with generous support from the REI Foundation, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and The North Face and many individual supporters. All meals, lodging, program, and materials provided at no cost to participants. Transportation is not included. [+] find out more
