Warehouse Manager/Project Coordinator (Part Time)
Location: Skokie, IL

Lightitech is an energy efficiency startup, based in Chicago, that offers clients a wide range of energy-saving solutions. We are a Trade Ally in the ComEd Energy Efficiency Program, which allows us to offer customized rebates/incentives to our utility customers ranging from small to medium businesses, and public entities, thereby helping them to meet their energy saving goals and reduce operating costs. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about energy efficiency or wants to learn about the industry for the position above to join our small and growing team immediately.
Duties and Responsibilities (these are some, but not all):
● Pull and get ready all materials for next week’s upcoming projects and with the project’s
Scope of Work (SOW) attached to the materials
● Work with Operations Manager to ensure all projects have the materials needed for
● Update weekly quantity of materials in the warehouse on the Inventory sheet
● Drop off and pick up materials from project sites, vendors, or any other places as needed
● Bring all materials and supplies that are required for a project to the job site as needed
● Ensure the warehouse is organized at all times and boxes cut up and thrown away
● Must have valid driver’s license and reliable and insured automobile (non negotiable)
● Detailed oriented and organized
● Must pass background check
● Must always represent the company in a professional manner and abiding by all safety
and employee guidelines
● Must be comfortable working in a storage warehouse environment 75% of the time
● Must be able to lift 30 lbs boxes occasionally
● Flexible schedule
● Hourly – negotiable
● 1099 for first 3 months
● Part time 10 – 15 hours a week to start; opportunity for more hours once experience

Greenest Region Corps Volunteer Application (Deadline September 9, 2018)

The Greenest Region Corps is a NEW partnership between the Caucus and AmeriCorps to find enthusiastic volunteers to lead sustainability projects in a select group of our GRC communities. AmeriCorps volunteers will work directly for a GRC community on a project that will result in greater environmental awareness and stewardship. Volunteers will be recruited and administered by the Caucus, but will be placed directly in one of eight community locations. In addition, volunteers will receive training and mentoring from staff at the USEPA Region 5 Office in Chicago and Moraine Valley Community College. The program is anticipated to start in October 2018 and volunteers must complete 1,700 service hours by December 2019. Volunteers will be paid a living allowance and will be provided health insurance. Upon completion of the program, volunteers will be eligible for a Segal AmeriCorps Educational Award.
